SHARED GOVERNANCE MODEL
Implemented in 2007, the Shared Governance Model at Saint Anthony Hospital created a forum for nurses to share ideas, impact nursing practice, and provide input on decisions made at Saint Anthony Hospital.
The Shared Governance Model is made up of two committees of direct care staff, with each nursing department directly represented on each committee.
Nursing Practice & Education Committee
Members of the Nursing Practice & Education Committee use this forum to identify and address practice issues to ensure safe, high quality, evidence based nursing practices, and to recommend and implement practice changes.
Nursing Retention & Recruitment Committee
Members of the Nursing Retention & Recruitment Committee
address programs, policies and procedures that impact the work environment. This committee also
evaluates unit based staffing standards and acuity based staffing models.
